Kate Reilly is getting married, to her were wolf fiancé Tom Bishop. Or is she? A powerful enemy is preparing an attack that will kill the werewolves and trap the humans in a world of slavery forever. Will her wedding ever happen and can Tom and Kate get through the prejudices that they face with the were wolves and fight their respective ex’s?

Kate Reilly is known as “Not Prey”. Kate has battled against the Thrall, and not died or turned to their subject after being bitten. As Kate and Tom plan their wedding more obstacles are thrown in their way, insane ex girlfriends, past lovers from the dead come back, Kate’s house being destroyed, were wolf packs against their relationship and babies being born. None of the babies are Kate’s, as she is barren and must deal with the disappointment of that fact. Tom is a were wolf and part of a pack that doesn’t approve of Kate and his relationship as she is barren.

Touch of Darkness is the final installment in the Thrall series. The question arises, “Can the writers finish the book so the reader can say good bye to Tom and Kate and know they will have the ending hoped for?” Absolutely! The writer’s did a wonderful job in the action packed book with spots for laughter and time for tears. As I closed the book I was sad to say good bye but quite pleased with the ending provided. I strongly recommend this book and series to anyone looking for a great way to escape into a fantastic alternative reality.

KNOW YOUR ENEMIES

It’s good advice—and Kate always thought she did. But everything has changed: there’s a new force at the head of the Thrall collective.  A force brilliant enough and ruthless enough to hide its sinister plan behind humanitarian work—building and funding halfway houses to ease the victims of drugs and the Thrall back into society.

And then Kate discovers that another part of the plan is rescinding the rules of fair play by which the Thrall have always dealt with humans. Kate is no longer Not Prey. Now she is just like everyone else: Prey.

Uncovering the plot is a start, but stopping it is another thing entirely. Kate must not only call on all of her own resources, but all of those that belong to her werewolf boyfriend Tom. But the Thrall collective has a brand new way of getting to Kate: a very personal series of attacks designed to tear her from Tom.  Kate has to decide: save her relationship with Tom, or save the future from the Thrall?
